Just learned that the locally based Propel Fuels is offering 5 gallons of free biofuel if you sign up at their web site through July 4th; check out the sign up page. Seems like a great deal if you want to try out their product without putting out any money! Propel Fuels moved its headquarters to Sacramento from Seattle last year. They have installed E-85 ethanol and B-5 biodiesel pumps at five locations throughout the Sacramento area and are planning to open another location in Placerville soon. Check out their locations page to see which is closest to you. I'm excited to see someone out here now that provides a consistent supply and good hours. |

Thank you all for your patience regarding this site. Originally, this site was intended to be a cooperative effort with the Sacramento Biofuels Network, but that is no longer the case. Therefore I am looking for new partners to keep the Sacramento Valley biofuels community up-to-date with local events and vendors. If you are interested in helping out, please do let me know. If you are looking to get something specific out of this site, please respond to the poll on the right side of the home page so that I can try to provide you with what you are looking for. In the meantime, I will be re-working the structure of this site to make it easier to find information. The Sacramento Biofuels Network blog site can still be found at www.sacbiofuels.org. Send me a note at mike @ sacbiofuels.com if you have any questions, suggestions, or information you'd like to contribute. Thanks! Mike

If you are interested in obtaining or producing your own biofuels in the Sacramento, California region, you've found the right place. This site will gather news and resources on the local biofuels scene for the benefit of fuel users, producers and the planet. If you want to become part of this exciting community, please register with us! Plants Powering Machines Putting together this community takes quite a bit of effort; all the effort is being done on a volunteer basis. The web site hosting and maintenance also takes a bit of money. We would be happy to get some support through volunteers (to provide web content and to moderate submissions) as well as through donations and sponsorships. Please contact the web site administrator if you are able to help. |
