Working on Changes for site

Thank you all for your patience regarding this site. Originally, this site was intended to be a cooperative effort with the Sacramento Biofuels Network, but that is no longer the case. Therefore I am looking for new partners to keep the Sacramento Valley biofuels community up-to-date with local events and vendors. If you are interested in helping out, please do let me know. If you are looking to get something specific out of this site, please respond to the poll on the right side of the home page so that I can try to provide you with what you are looking for. In the meantime, I will be re-working the structure of this site to make it easier to find information. The Sacramento Biofuels Network blog site can still be found at www.sacbiofuels.org.Send me a note at mike @ sacbiofuels.com if you have any questions, suggestions, or information you'd like to contribute. Thanks!Mike

What's happening in Sacramento?

All right, I know the question you're asking. I know why you are here. I know what it is that you want to know. Where can I find biofuels / biodiesel / ethanol in the Sacramento area?!? Believe me, I'm trying to find out that very same thing!!Here is a challenge for you, dear reader: If you are aware of anyone in the Sacramento area (and this includes both the Highway 50 to the East and Interstate 80 to the Northeast of Sacramento) that is selling a biofuel to the public (wholesale doesn't help individuals like us very much), then please provide me with the contact information via the Volunteers page (you will need to register at this site to see the link to the page). I will then contact the seller to get details and then post the details here so that other registered members can benefit from them.

Diesels in the (racing) news

There certainly is a great deal going on in the motorsports community with respect to Diesel technology. I find motorsports to be a great venue for proving new technologies, and lately modern Diesel technology has been in racing news more and more often. The combination of the Diesel's durability and relatively low fuel consumption make it particularly ideal for long distance competitions such as round-the-clock racing. I realize this does not entirely have to do with biofuels (nor with Sacramento area activities), but any advances in Diesel technologies will definitely have a positive impact on biodiesel use.

If you are interested in obtaining or producing your own biofuels in the Sacramento, California region, you've found the right place. This site will gather news and resources on the local biofuels scene for the benefit of fuel users, producers and the planet. If you want to become part of this exciting community, please register (index.php?option=com_comprofiler task=registers) with us! Putting together this community takes quite a bit of effort; all the effort is being done on a volunteer basis. The web site hosting and maintenance also takes a bit of money. We would be happy to get some support through volunteers (to provide web content and to moderate submissions) as well as through donations and sponsorships. Please contact the web site administrator (mailto:admin@sacbiofuels.com) if you are able to help.
